Marketing of The Brevity™ Seaplane

The Brevity Seaplane Logo    Flying qualities

The Brevity™will be an aircraft with excellent flying qualities through the use of composite materials in the propulsive unit, fuselage and wings. With the application of these materials an aircraft with a forward swept wing and low drag is created. The smooth surfaces and rounded sweeping lines are immediately apparent. Thus creating a very appealing aircraft.

The Brevity Seaplane Logo    Improved flight characteristics

Due to new hull and fuselage design and embedding of the engine and propulsion unit, the Brevity's high performance design will be much more stable and better to handle than any other  available concept of water operated aircraft.

The Brevity Seaplane Logo    No operating restrictions

The Brevitywill be certified under EASA /FAR-23 standards, allowing transport, commuting, Sport & leisure and reconnaissance flights. Due to the stringent certification demands the design covers STOL and limited aerobatics capabilities.

The Brevity Seaplane Logo    Low noise levels

The embedded engine and propulsion unit make the aircraft very quiet. In these times of high environmental awareness and noise restrictions this will be an important selling point. The strictest European and American noise requirements allow a maximum noise level of ±73 dB. With the Brevity's™ embedded engine, exhaust and propeller systems the noise levels are expected to be significantly lower than those required by the authorities.

The Brevity Seaplane Logo    Comfort

The comfort level of the Brevity™ will be very high. The mid-wing configuration right behind the large canopy, creates a fantastic, almost panoramic view from the cockpit. The spacious cockpit allows ample room for all occupants to work and enjoy the view.

The Brevity Seaplane Logo    Versatility

The seating configuration can easily be converted from 2 x 2 to 2 x 1. Rear seats removed (cargo version) and 2 x 1 right hand seats removed (medical/stretcher version).

The Brevity Seaplane Logo    Low maintenance costs

The aircraft is mainly built from non-corrosive carbon fibre-reinforced epoxy. These materials require less maintenance than aluminium, which is the main construction material used in sheet metal aircrafts that the Brevity™ will replace. Composite materials also have a much better resistance to corrosion and show almost no airframe fatigue.

The Brevity Seaplane Logo    Less dangerous to approach and operate

Employing a ducted propeller, by means of a turbine engine, the Brevity™ will be easier and safer to operate and handle than its competitors. Especially during harboring and maintenance operations. Still every year people get wounded or even killed as a result of accidents with easily reached propellers on old generation seaplanes.

The Brevity Seaplane Logo    Equipement

The design of thew Brevity™ is equiped with a VFR/IFR* instrument panel. An overview of the equipment that is standard (VFR) for the aircraft is listed here. There are also some kits available, which can enhance the standard equipment of the Brevity™.

These qualifications have resulted in an aircraft with exceptional features
